Bon voyage! Buen viaje!
This past month the ninth grade has been busy preparing for their trip to France and Spain! We met together, both Spanish and French students, for several combined classes to share our research and language. The French students presented Parisian monuments to the Spanish students and the Spanish students presented a powerpoint exploring Barcelona. We met to discuss our trip journals, expectations, and share helpful phrases in each language. These group meetings are helpful in incorporating the students’ interests in planning the trip and building the group dynamic in both target languages.
We leave for Europe Thursday and can’t wait to share this exciting and invaluable opportunity for language immersion with the BCD community when we return to campus!
