On behalf of the faculty, staff, and administration, I write to express a heartfelt thank you for the incredible week of appreciation that was showered upon all of us by the Parents’ Association and community!

The baked goods were amazing, the bouquets of flowers were spectacular, the handmade chocolates were divine, the cookies were mouth-watering, and the luncheon was gracious and delicious (and ably serenaded by Nick)!  Many of us received other treats and cards as well, each a personal statement of appreciation from a student, always good food for the hearts of educators.

Just today, I was copied on a note that a parent sent to a member of the faculty, Kathy Clausen.  I receive many notes like this throughout the year, and this one reflects the sentiments I often hear about the work of our dedicated teachers.  I know how much these expressions of appreciation and respect mean when they are received.

“We would be remiss if we let the week pass without personally thanking you for all that you have done for our daughter this year.  Not only has she excelled in language arts this year, she has developed a self-confidence in her academic abilities for the coming years.  I remarked in the car last night, “I wish second grade could go on forever.”  In short, we feel that things have turned around for our daughter this year under your guidance and tutelage, and we really want to acknowledge and thank you for that.”

I certainly enjoyed the card I received mid-day today.  “Thank you for taking care of and protecting our school.”  Charles J., PreK

Thank you again, one and all!  Paul
