Last week, our ninth grade French and Spanish students teamed up to prepare for their trip to Paris and Barcelona.
Monday, we met in the French classroom to share the French students’ presentations of Parisian monuments. Each student shared their poster and how to reach each monument via le metro. We looked at the Parisian metro system, located our hotel’s stop and line, and familiarized ourselves with the metro tickets and procedures.
Wednesday, we met in the Spanish classroom to share the Spanish students’ power points on Barcelona.
We learned about our hotel, museums, stadiums, and many other places of interest and cultural aspects of the city. Señora Velez even provided salsa and chips and we ended the class with Spanish music and dancing!
The students have been working well as a team. This Wednesday we will have our last combined class before the trip where the students will prepare their trip journals and share helpful phrases in each language.
