Dear Parents,
I write to share that Michelle Alexander has learned that a dozen students (across all divisions) are home with flu-like symptoms, and that we have recently learned that one student has a confirmed case of the H1N1 strain. Please read Mrs. Alexander’s notice regarding this matter which can be found at
Because the flu presents with a range of symptoms and varying degrees of severity, everyone should be especially watchful. However, as with most viruses, when individuals are contagious during the early incubation stage of the flu, they may not present with any symptoms.
To assist us in monitoring attendance, please let Coree Reid if your child is absent for any reason. It is very important that everyone follows our school policy and notifies Mrs. Alexander when a child is out because of an illness.
I am grateful for all the work that that Mrs. Alexander is doing to attend to the needs of our children. Please continue to be in touch with her directly about your questions and/or need for more information.
Sincerely,
Paul
