Today in the library, Third Graders, learned about Russia, the host of this year’s winter Olympics. Students learned about the Cyrillic alphabet, handled Russian money, and played with Russian dolls and other traditional handicrafts. We shared two famous Russian stories, Snegurochka (or the Snow Maiden) and The Firebird. Students concluded with book browsing and checkout.
