Second Graders today made bookmarks for their own take-home use. Bookmarks are not only a way to mark your place, but also show your appreciation and care for the books. Our bookmarks were lovingly crafted from craft foam, markers and personalized with beads. While crafting, students enjoyed a read-aloud of The Magic Finger, and were able to make connections with other stories by the same author, Roald Dahl, whom we studied in the fall. (We will finish this novella up next week). We concluded with book browsing and check-out. Happy Reading!
