Second Graders got spooked int the library this week with Carl Reiner’s Tell Me a Scary Story…But Not TOO Scary. This spooky tale, complete with sound effects and a realistic first-person narrator, set the tone for our Halloween themed library period. Students then went on a Haunted Hunt around the library searching for bats, mini-pumpkins and critters (cockroaches, millipedes and spiders) hidden among the stacks and shelves. The Coconuts group had a scary surprise visitor—Mystery Witch Librarian, Lisa Kantor, who sneaked in the back door to startle us in her costume. Happy Birthday to Shayna and Happy Reading to the Second Grade! Books are due on 11/16/10.
