Greetings Everyone,
We have only been together for three days this week, but they were very full days. Monday and Tuesday we continued to work on our projects and gifts for you. Today, the children are bringing home popcorn rings to hang on a tree for the birds. We had quite an adventure popping corn in our air popper on Tuesday. Then, the children strung the popcorn on a light gauge wire. It took a bit of concentration and patience to poke the wire through the popcorn without breaking it. Delicate handling was required. Also, on Monday and Tuesday, the children made cut out sugar cookies and decorated them with icing, colored sugars and sprinkles. They were a special treat at our Winter Solstice party on Tuesday. We also enjoyed cookies from Beck and gingerbread from Sadie’s family. We also sent home the orange pomanders we made last week. Finally, there is a special gift for you in the decorated white paper bag which is trimmed with a pine bough and a jingle bell. We know you will enjoy it!
We would like to congratulate Mrs. Hilliard, Mr. Suters and all of the children who participated in the Winter Concert on Tuesday. We all loved it! The music was beautiful.
