Preschoolers visiting the library today braved the cold and ice to share stories with this week’s “hot” theme: SNOW. Our collection of snowy favorites today included both fiction and non-fiction selections. To beat those winter blues away, our ninth grade friends, Camilla and Charlie, joined us in several rousing versions of the Eensy-Weensy Spider song. HIghlights included the quiet, hushed version (so quiet you can hear the snow fall), the sad version and the loud and silly version. We also played a game using the classic Jack Ezra Keats story, The Snowy Day, in which students had to fill in the blanks of missing words in the story and make appropriate substitutions. We concluded with book browsing and checkout. Note! This group has oodles of overdue books; please check your shelves and drop those books off at any time! Happy Reading!
