Happy Mother’s Day! The children had a lot of fun making your gifts this week. I hope you you enjoyed them, and had a very happy day!
Courtney brought in four week-old baby chicks on Thursday. They were lively and adorable. Everyone got to hold them – thank you Courtney, Ben, and Jamie, for bringing them in!
The children did an outstanding job in the Music Assembly on Friday, and it was great to see PreSchool through Grade 3 perform as well. After the music assembly, we all gathered in the gym to see Berkshire Theater Festival perform. This year, they presented their own version of Hansel and Gretel, which was creative and funny and very well done. The BTF assembly is one of the highlights of the school year, and is enjoyed by all ages.
We’re hard at work in our last week of poetry practice and can’t wait for this Friday. Grandparents and special family friends are welcome to attend. Please give a head count to either Cara or Jenny, so that we are sure to have enough food for the potluck afterwards. This Poetry Assembly is a culmination of work that we begin the very first day of school. The class will be reciting 20 of their favorite poems. It is sure to be a splendid event. See you there!
