Today in the library, fourth graders began to learn about the organization of the library’s main collection. Each student explored a different set of shelves and reported back to the group information regarding call numbers and subject matter. The students commented on how surprised they were to find so many different types of books in their individual areas. We will continue to develop our understanding of the organization and content of the library, one of the cornerstones of the fourth grade library curriculum, throughout the year.
We concluded with book browsing and checkout. Happy Reading!
