Follow the Fourth Grade on First Fridays

Tall Tales Begins

This month we have started the book American Tall Tales. American Tall Tales is a collection of different stories that have been exaggerated throughout the years they have been told. So far we have read about Davy Crockett, who was actually a real person, and now we are reading about Davy Crockett’s fictional wife, Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind. Our class is having a great time reading these funny stories, and we can’t wait to see what story comes next.

Winter Break Travel Survey

This week we did a survey asking the questions: Are you leaving the state, the country, the continent, or staying home over the Winter Break? Our results are that ten people are staying, six people are leaving the state. (We included our teachers.) This is where we will be over the break.

Gracie came to visit after leaving our class to move to Boston. Thanksgiving Soup was like a party, and the soup was delicious. Everyone was laughing and having fun.

The Hanukkah Party was on Monday, December 2. Halle’s family has made this a tradition in our class. Thanks to the Davies for the dreidels and the wonderful treats.

The December Lunch Bunch was awesome because the food was great, and we got hot chocolate, reindeer made out of chocolate and walnuts, and giant cupcakes. The lunch was tacos, rice and beans. It was delicious. At the end we got gift bags with stuffed animals, fake snow, reindeer, and elf headbands. Thank you to the Sonsini family.
