Science: Simple Machines

Sean interviewed Anje for his report:

Sean: What do you like in Science?
Anje: I like it because we have labs.
Sean: What was your favorite lab?
Anje: It was the lever lab. It was fun. We kept putting pennies on one side of the lever to see how many it took to lift the fishing weights

[on the other side]. We’ve also done protractor homework to measure things to find out if it is a right angle, acute, or obtuse. Today is a “pop” quiz but Mr. Gore announced it so it’s not really a “pop” quiz. It’s on angles, screws, and protractors.

Leading the Middle School Morning Meeting

We lead Morning Meeting and we did one of the team challenges. You had to lift a ping pong ball at least six inches off the ground by using materials that were in the bag. There were two pieces of paper, a paper clip, a piece of tape, and a paper plate. The tallest tower was 19″.

Halloween

Halloween was fun with everybody dressing up in the morning and seeing all of these monsters. (Here’s a panorama of the class before the party.)
