Furey Hall was the place to be this weekend for the performances Friday and Saturday night of The Giver. The Seventh Grade actors performed to packed houses both nights and the reviews were great! Thank you for a wonderful performance, and to Director Meg Agnew and the many parents and volunteers who worked to make the evenings so successful!

This was a remarkable performance, and I spoke to several parents who thought the same thing. Congratulations to all involved for a job really well done, you all should be very proud!

Everyone was moved by the depth of the acting and how you told the story. Yes, remarkable! I applaud the BCD Film & Theater Ensemble for such a bold undertaking. Keep up the fabulous work. Congrats to all!!
THE GIVER Gives to Haiti…
It’s no accident the play is called “THE GIVER” – the cast managed to raise almost $700 by raffling off an ipod (thanks to Ayla Hull) which will be donated to Partners in Health for its relief efforts in Haiti. What an accomplishment!!!!!!
It’s certainly true that theater is a community experience! This play could never have gotten off the ground, without the phenomenal efforts of the cast and the support of parents. They also did an amazing job with the strike on Sunday and left Furey Hall in great shape. Thank you John and Lynda Bianchi, Merlin Wisswaesser, Sarah and Glenn Novak, Christiane Hull, Diane Ciaburri, Larry Bingham, Nick Roposo and Katie Jean Wall for all the elbow grease!
With all my heart – Meg Agnew
One addition to the above:
I just want to make sure that I give special recognition and gratitude to Pier Boutin (Ace’s mom) who did so much to support this production. Not the least of which was to venture
to Haiti to help the suffering using her surgical skills, and hence, inspiring our cast to undertake the fantastic fundraising they did for Partners in Health. Thank you Pier!
