Our students, their families, and BCD staff all enjoyed a week of fun activities throughout the Parent Association’s Book Fair. From Mom’s Morning, to Donuts with Dads, to Staff’s Snack and Shopping, it was a week to remember. Thank you to the P.A. for all of its efforts and hard work!
As a special treat, our students in Preschool through Grade 1 enjoyed a visit from a real author/illustrator dynamic duo, Marc and Eileen Rosenthal.
I Must Have Bobo! was Eileen’s first book and the pair created its sequel together, I’ll Save You Bobo! –both featured books at our fair.
BCD’s featured guests explained the process of writing and illustrating to our young students: from how an expression can change with the tilt of an eyebrow, to how a story takes its shape from one’s imagination to the paper.
I invite you to come tour our preschool and lower school classrooms and enjoy our own authors’ work on display. There is much to see: from self-portraits, to “Weekend News” and all of their stories, to B3’s daily science logs complete with sketches and reflections on the life in a fish tank!
