Smart, poised, prepared, articulate, competent, creative, confident, and compelling!
That’s what every member of the Fourth grade class was as they shared their “See the USA” presentations yesterday.
Scores of parents, teachers, and students gathered in Furey Hall to listen to each team of four students as they made a pitch for the “best route” to travel from coast to coast. Every station included art work, maps, research papers, resources, and culinary delights, demonstrating what the children had learned about the states and cities along their individual route.
But what was most wonderful to observe was the original and fact-filled oral presentation delivered by each of our spectacular Fourth Graders! Well done, one and all, and kudos to teachers Sarah Pitcher-Hoffman and Jeff Uhas.
Great work by everyone!!. The depth of knowledge reflected in each of the student’s presentation was very impressive. And each of the state stations were very well constructed to highlight the key attributes of each of the states.
We have some very persuasive kids in 4th grade!… which made voting very difficult!! 🙂
Each and every presentation inspired me to travel across our country to experience it’s beauty, music, history and culinary expertise. Thank you teachers and students!
