Can 1 person make a difference? Absolutely!
We are kicking off a new school-wide campaign to get every member of our community to advocate for BCD by spreading the word to the people they know about the great things happening at our school.
Our 1:1 campaign asks you to tell 1 person 1 thing about BCD. How? It’s as easy as 1-2-3:
1. Refer someone you know to BCD – fill out a Referral Card or the online form on MyBCD and let Amy know who you know who might be interested in learning more about BCD
2. Pass along information about BCD events and programs to people you know in the community who might have an interest
3. Invite someone you know to join you when you attend a child’s classroom presentation, assembly, music concert, theatre performance or other events that showcase our students and their accomplishments
The 1:1 campaign is one of the many initiatives to come from our long-range strategic plan. The objective of this initiative is to help every member of our community become effective and articulate advocates for BCD among their friends and neighbors. Our goal is to be better known and understood by the broader Berkshire community.
In the mail this week you will be receiving information about our new 1:1 campaign and referral program. The mailing also contains a Referral Card and 1:1 refrigerator magnet. This month we are asking you to advocate for BCD by filling out 1 referral card to help us reach out to 1 new family.For additional referrals, click on the 1:1 Referral icon on the MyBCD main page. Please fill out the form and in the “Comments” section at the end of the form, type “1:1 Referral” and your name.
Starting in January, we will be sending you monthly postcards highlighting different aspects of BCD that we will be asking you to think about and communicate to others. When you get your monthly 1:1 postcard, please post it on your refrigerator with your magnet so you and your family can keep these topics in mind and talk about what they mean to you. We hope these conversations and the information we will be sending you will make it easier for you to articulate to others what it is about BCD that means so much to you.
