Welcome back to our returning families and a special welcome to all of the new families at BCD this year!
The Parents’ Association has two events coming up on Friday, September 12th.
That morning, following drop-off, we have our first meeting of the new school year in the Library. All parents at BCD are members of the Parents’ Association and are invited both to the monthly meetings and to join the Steering Committee. If you are interested, but have questions about what joining the committee entails, please feel free to contact our fearless leaders, Suzannah Van Schaick and Elizabeth Powell. Many of the Steering Committee members can’t make the monthly meetings regularly due to work and family obligations, but are able to volunteer for specific events. If this is your situation, please talk to Suzannah or Elizabeth because we want the PA to work for everyone. If you can make it, we would love to see you (there will be coffee!).
That evening at 6pm, we’ll be serving light snacks and libations at High Spirits in Fitzpatrick Hall (the gym). The PA co-sponsors this event with the development office and it is always a wonderful time. If you haven’t RSVP’d yet, please do so and remember that this an adult only event. Let’s toast the start of another fantastic year together!
