Three community members sent this to me today. It is truly a heartwarming story about our children, coaches, and community, and I felt it was worth sharing.
To the Cross Country Ski Team Parents,
I try not to send out too many e-mails since Coach/AD/Teacher Benner does such a great job of communicating all the changes, practice info, and misc. information out to everyone. And, I just want to say thank you to Coach Benner and to all of the parents for your continual support. I have had the pleasure of coaching at many schools with a wide variety of talent levels, but the kids and parents at BCD are amazing and express some of the best attitudes and support I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Thank you!
It is amazing to see so many happy, smiling kids every day regardless of whether we have snow, rain, wind, indoor practice, outdoor practice, waxing, or circuit training. Thank you for the blankets, the abundance of snacks and drinks, the presence of parents and alumni at the races, and the endless support. It is appreciated by the coaches and kids. Although we may not say it often, it is truly appreciated!
