Today in the library, the Kindergarten had fun with phonics. While listening to our stories today, students were coloring in their personal giant Bingo boards. We then used words from the story as clues for our bingo game, focusing on word-initial consonants. (For example, “Cover the picture on your board that starts with the b-b-b sound.”) Many of the students were able to fill their entire boards by connecting sounds with the pictures. We concluded with book browsing and check out with books due on 12/1/10. Happy Reading!
