Pre-Kindergarten
Olivia joined us at the end of 2021-22 school year as a substitute teacher. Olivia graduated in May 2022 from Smith College with a major in neuroscience. She is incredibly excited to be working in Early Childhood, and finds that her neuroscience background helps her to better understand the developmental states of young children. Her experiences working in elementary classrooms have taught her how to best support and engage students. Olivia worked as the Activity Leader for the Hatfield Elementary After School Program in Hatfield, MA, she also worked as a counselor for the SUmmer STEAM Camp at Shady Hill School in Cambridge, MA. Olivia’s mother is a BCD alum, who has worked in Early Childhood education for many years. Olivia spent many hours in her mother’s classroom and has learned a tremendous amount from her experience as a teacher and is excited to be back at BCD.
