Deanna is excited to return to the classroom to share her love of the French language and culture after taking a break from teaching to raise her six children. Her first experience teaching was while studying abroad in Angers, France during her junior year in college when she taught an English culture and conversation class to French university math students. She did her student teaching in the Boston public schools at which time she became involved in the Boston Strasbourg Sister City Association and led a three week student exchange to France. After receiving her teacher’s license, she taught for 5 years at Cathedral High School in Springfield, MA. While there, she was also the drama director and girls assistant varsity soccer coach. For hobbies, Deanna loves to garden and runs a small farm-stand in the summer with her family and she continues to play indoor soccer. Deanna also speaks Italian.
