Courtney has been committed to promoting the arts, education, and wilderness her entire adult life. After studying art history at Princeton and completing an MFA in graphic design at Yale, she worked professionally as a designer for over 25 years. Courtney and her husband Andrew moved to a farm Columbia County in 2003 where they raise pasture-based livestock. They are parents to BCD graduates Ben, Jamie, and Emmet. Courtney has been deeply involved in every aspect of the BCD campus community, including leadership of the Parents Association and membership on the Head’s Search Committee. She served on the Girl Rising board and currently serves on the board of the Chatham Agricultural Partnership and leads outdoor trips for women.
