This week in the library, third graders learned about an exciting new opportunity to showcase their reading interests. As the leaders of the Lower School, third graders will be invited to become “featured readers’ this year in the library. On a voluntary and rotating basis, we hope to display favorite literary picks from this spirited and enthusiastic group of readers, along with their photos. Stay tuned to see who our first featured reader will be!
Second Graders concluded their reading of Roald Dahl’s The Twits by creating a story scape for the library. Each student selected a “tricky” scene from the book and created an accompanying illustration. These will be hung in chronological order as a storyboard for the novel. Feel free to pop into the library for a peek.
Students also selected books for home reading. These books are due on October 20. Happy Reading!
The set build for 10/9 has been canceled, but there will be a set build on 10/16. In the meantime, actors need help learning their lines. They should be off book by now. Please support them in eating well, sleeping enough, balancing school work and activities, and keeping a sense of humor!
