A Time of Transition and Growth
At BCD, our Fourth and Fifth graders leave the relative shelter of the Lower School and move towards more independence and self-advocacy. There are more transitions between classrooms and buildings, and they begin to work on projects with broader scope in the Imagination Lab and Outdoor Learning programs. Academic offerings deepen and intensify, with additional hours of language instruction, English grammar and writing, and more complex math concepts. It is a time of self-discovery and growth.
