Application Process

Apply to BCD

Berkshire Country Day School has a rolling admissions policy under which applicants are welcome and candidates are accepted throughout the year as space allows.

We know your and your child’s time is valuable, and we have simplified the admissions process to three steps:

Upon completion of all parts of the application process and admissions requirements, the BCD Admission Committee will review the candidate’s file and notify the family of its decision. In certain circumstances, we may ask for additional materials on a case by case basis.

Applicants can expect to receive a decision approximately two weeks after the application is complete.

We are also happy to schedule a student Shadow Day, either during the application period or after acceptance. This is a great opportunity for your child to spend a day with peers, get to know the BCD teachers, and truly get a sense of what it will feel like to be part of the community here. Typically Preschool and Kindergarten visits are a few hours or a morning long, and Grade 1-8 visits are for a full day. Students are matched with their current grade level so they may begin making friends with the children who will be their classmates.

Berkshire Country Day School admits students of any religion, race, color, sexual orientation, and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of religion, gender, race, color, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, scholarship, athletic, and other school-administered programs.
