Position: Development Associate
Reports to: Director of the Annual Fund & Special Events
Position Status: Part-time (20 hours per week)
The Development Associate will provide administrative support for the School’s annual fundraising programs, manage the fundraising database and donor recognition activities, and assist with planning several annual community events. They will be aware of and assist with all aspects of the School’s development efforts, including the annual fund and the annual gala, and will work closely with volunteers to accomplish successful results.
The Development Associate will work collaboratively with the Director of the Annual Fund and Special Events, Head of School, and other administrators, employees, and volunteers. This position requires someone with strong communication skills, positive attitude, ability to multi-task, and experience with Excel and Word.
Required education and experience:
- Two years of college course work or associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Two years’ experience in non-profit fund development
- Fundraising database experience is a plus, as is graphic design, knowledge of social media, and a history of working on event planning.
