As Thanksgiving is just around the corner, the fourth grade is honored to team up with their “bigs” in ninth grade to provide the entertainment for BCD’s Thanksgiving Soup, our annual tradition of bringing our entire school community together to share a meal just before departing for the Thanksgiving break. With the help of Mrs. Benner and Mrs. Hilliard, the two classes have put together a special rendition of John Lennon’s song, “Imagine.” Individuals from the two classes will be singing the song, and interspersed between the verses individualized “imagine statements” will be shared by the remaining students. It is a moving performance that I know everyone will enjoy.

On Monday, the fourth grade will be turning in their Land Form Projects that they have been working on for the past two weeks. They did much of their research in class and created posters or dioramas at home about their chosen land form. I am very excited to see the finished products and to see the children present their findings to the rest of the class. Be sure that their research and projects are brought to class on Monday, November 23.

The e-mail notification with a link to sign up for Parent-Teacher Conferences was sent yesterday. Conference dates will be December 3rd and 4th.  If you have a conflict with the these dates,  please let me know and we can work out a date and time that is mutually convenient.

It has been a wonderful fall term, and I have truly enjoyed working with and getting to know all of the fourth graders. I wish everyone a restful and joyful Thanksgiving holiday!
