Admission

Alex HeddingerThank you for your interest in Berkshire Country Day School, an extraordinary Pre-K—9 community that balances a challenging academic program with the culture and spirit of the Berkshires.

Berkshire Country Day School is intentionally independent. Our curriculum, our philosophy, even our campus, are all purposefully designed to inspire each individual to engage in teaching, learning, and growth in a deeply personal way. Your child’s career at Berkshire Country Day School will be a multi-year experience in connecting the dots—between what they learn in school and what they see in the real world; between individual areas of study; from grade to grade. For me, this is what excites me most about our school. But that’s not all.

Our curriculum leverages the talents of our exemplary faculty and the full spectrum of educational approaches, combining proven methods with emerging best practices to inspire the individual promise of each child. Our robust experiential education program connects our students to the world outside our doors, building a sense of independence and an understanding of their role in the broader community.

Our beautiful, historic 27-acre wooded campus is a truly inspirational environment that fosters learning and connects our students with the rich natural environment of the Berkshires on a daily basis. Our robust (and growing) arts program fully leverages our beautiful studio and performance spaces. It is led by practicing and passionate artists who not only foster the creativity of our students, but actively contribute to the rich cultural landscape of the Berkshires.

Discover for yourself all that Berkshire Country Day School has to offer your child. Take a walk through our charming campus; stop into our lively, interactive classrooms; chat with our happy, enthusiastic students; or have a conversation with one of our engaged families… these are all wonderful ways to fully understand the opportunities that await your family here.
